The above story covers a rule that drivers MUST reverse into parking spaces. Applying thought to this issue shows many merits to reversing into parking spaces (most of which become apparent when you come to leave). However, the same thought processes indicate that if you are about to unload the vehicle's boot (or are going to load it before leaving) then the manual handling and access issues are likely to override the other issues.
