This course provided a route to the “Professional Training Certificate”. This qualification is ideal for anyone who has never delivered training before or for trainers who want to reinvigorate their training skills. Candidates are assessed on their design and delivery of a short training session which they are required to deliver to other members of the group.

Candidates can expect intensive classroom sessions on how to run a small training course, and is particularly useful for supervisors and managers to enable them to pass on training they have received to their staff.

Course content includes:

  • roles and responsibilities
  • styles and preferences
  • planning skills
  • structure and design
  • styles and communication
  • assessment and assignment

At the completion of the course candidates are required to present and deliver a training session to fellow candidates lasting approximately 25-30 minutes to enable us to assess your ability as a presenter and provide feedback on your style.

Upon completion of this course candidates will possess the basic knowledge skills required to develop and deliver training courses, and motivate learners.

3 day course (for new trainers)
2 day course (for trainers with relevant experience)

Note: This course can be run in conjunction with another course (such as Manual Handling or Health and Safety – An Introduction) to provide greater value to the candidates.
