Edinburgh businesses lost at least 777 working days in 2008/09 as a result of slips, trips and falls in the workplace.
According to figures from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), there were five fatalities and 1,405 major injuries as a result of slips, trips and falls in Scottish workplaces in 2008/09 with 2,742 workers having to take more than three days off.
