The purpose of this SPC is to inform Inspectors of the publication of a Safety Alert concerning operation of auger feed devices.
There has been a recent serious accident which occurred while an operator was working on a Mobile Explosives Manufacturing Unit (MEMU). The operator sustained serious hand injuries while clearing a blockage in an auger feed device.
