During 2010 there is a European-wide campaign ‘Risk Assessment in the Use of Hazardous Substances’. This has been initiated by the Senior Labour Inspectors Committee (SLIC) that seeks to promote consistency in health and safety standards and enforcement across Europe.
In the UK the focus is on risks from hazardous substances in motor vehicle repair (MVR).
