National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts to be reconstituted as a charity and charitable trust

Universities and Science Minister David Willetts has today laid an Order in Parliament to abolish the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) as a non-departmental public body (NDPB). This follows the Government’s announcement in October 2010 of its proposal to reconstitute NESTA as a private sector charity with a separate charitable trust to hold the National Lottery endowment.
